WHAT IS PROP 65?
Proposition 65, formally known as the California Safe Drinking Water and Toxic Enforcement Act of 1986, is a regulation that requires businesses to provide warnings to California consumers if their products may expose them to chemicals identified by the State of California as causing cancer or reproductive harm.
The list includes a broad range of naturally occurring and man-made substances that are known to cause cancer, birth defects, or other reproductive toxicity. These warnings are intended to help consumers understand and evaluate potential chemical exposure from the products they use.
